Hot Spring

Dongrae Hot Springs boasts a legend of the White Crane, a story about an old woman who, after seeing a crane soak its aching leg in the water and then fly away as if healed, decided to treat her own aching leg with the water. Known for its mystical benefits, the hot springs have been a favorite among royalty and aristocrats since the Silla Dynasty. During the Joseon Dynasty, they were so well-known that many Japanese considered bathing in Dongrae Hot Springs a lifelong dream. Located at the foot of the beautiful Geumjeongsan Mountain, Dongrae Hot Springs has recently become even more popular as a health course complemented by hiking.
