1. Current situation and challenges in community nutrition One of the biggest problems I see is the lack of knowledge about balanced nutrition in the community. Many people only pay attention to eating enough or follow “trendy” diets online, without understanding the body's real nutritional needs. This leads to nutritional imbalances, increasing the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity or underlying malnutrition. In addition, the difficult economic situation causes many families to prioritize cheap, processed foods instead of fresh, healthy options. As a nutritionist, I always try to implement community nutrition education sessions, especially for children and parents, to create a foundation for healthy eating habits from an early age. 2. The combination of personalized nutrition and preventive medicine Modern nutrition is not only focused on “dieting to lose weight” but also on personalized nutrition – designing a diet based on each person’s health status, habits, work, and goals. I often coordinate with other specialists, such as endocrinology or cardiology, to create a menu to help control the disease and improve overall health. For example, a patient with prediabetes needs not only to reduce sugar but also to adjust the amount of fiber, protein, and control the timing of meals to stabilize blood sugar. This approach not only helps prevent complications but also improves the patient’s quality of life. 3. Memorable case: Changing a patient’s life through nutrition A male patient around 45 years old came to me with excess weight, high blood pressure, and high blood lipids. He had failed with many strict diets. I started by listening to him, learning about his eating habits, work, and even his psychological factors. After 6 months of applying a personalized nutrition regimen combined with appropriate exercise, he lost 12 kg, stabilized his blood pressure, and became much more optimistic. He shared that he used to feel tired and lacked confidence, but now he can play sports with his children and work more effectively. That moment reminded me that proper nutrition can change not only a person's body but also his life.
