I am good at following roles and responsibilities as a pharmacy support worker: *the dispensing and supply of medicines or medical devices *advising on the use of medicines and medical devices *assisting pharmacy professionals to provide pharmacy services to individuals *performs a wide variety of tasks that can include anything from preparing pills and labelling medication to receiving customers and preparing prescriptions for patients *able to operate the cash registers and manage inventory in and out. *Label medication, which can be in bottles, tablets or other formats *Operate the cash register and manage payments *Provide advice to customers about non-prescription items *Provide medicines on prescription *Manage orders from customers *Manage the inventory by restocking shelves *Enter data relating to medicine on computerised systems *Take calls from GP surgeries, clinics or nursing homes *work with other members of the team at the pharmacy and are responsible for a wide variety of tasks, both with customers and directly with the pharmacist. *Physical movement of stock, stock rotation, expiry date checks, ensures secure storage within the pharmacy department and ward/department level. *dealing with enquiries from customers, face to face and on the phone *giving basic health advice to customers and selling over the counter medicines *taking in and handing out prescriptions *packaging and labelling prescribed items *checking stocks and ordering supplies *referring customers to the pharmacist if need be *keeping records of customers and stock *handling cash. *delivering medicines to other departments or wards *checking stock, ordering and storing supplies *keeping records as required. *Dispenses prescription medication and other medical products to patients under direction of licensed pharmacist *Counts pills, labels bottles, prices, and compounds medications to prepare prescriptions for patients as directed *Performs administrative duties, including answering phones, receiving and inputting prescription orders, operating cash registers, and restocking inventory *Gathers, organises, and assesses patient information *Supplies patients with information and education on their prescriptions *Monitors prescription-filling process to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and pharmacy policies *Liaises with healthcare providers and patients to obtain correct prescription information *Answers patients' questions about their medications under the supervision of the pharmacist *Takes inventory of drugs on hand and records results *Places orders for additional drugs as directed by the pharmacist *Maintains electronic patient information *Prepares billing information for medications *Completes patients' sales transactions for purchase of prescription and over-the-counter medications as well as other pharmaceutical products *give quotations and check product availability. *sell products or services and take payments. *handle complaints or pass them to a supervisor.
